Abstract.
On the basis of the analysis of archival sources the author identifies changes, which took place in the academic activity of Saratov higher schools under the conditions of the Great Patriotic War. The paper examines factors that influenced educational process in the higher schools in 1943-1945: the quantity of students and faculty; the regulations of the central bodies of power on higher schools; the problem of the lack of rooms for lectures and tutorials; everyday problems.
