Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the role of noble corporate organizations, which they played in the reform period of the 60-70s of the XIX century. The author analyzes the main directions of the activity and functions of class noble organizations, traces the nature and direction of the changes that these organizations underwent in the process of the reforms. Special attention is paid to the changed role of the provincial and district leaders of the nobility in the system of local government. The author concludes that in the period of the reforms corporate noble organizations continued being an important institution, which did not lose its importance in new conditions.
