Abstract.
This article considers problems associated with the process of revealing the educational potential of urban historical-architectural landscapes. The author identifies historical-architectural landscape as cultural foundation, space-time core, around which the life of a town is formed. Accordingly, social-cultural continuity necessary for the life and development of society is implemented through heritage objects. In turn, the problems of the translation and assimilation of this continuity by modern society are directly related to the extremely topical issues of environmental education in the sphere of culture.
