Abstract.
In the article the author considers the history of architectural monuments creation and urban construction in Siena in the first half of the XIV century, the influence of the government of Nine Signori (1287-1355) on this process, as well as the image of power, which the architectural monuments of that time translate. The analysis of the history of the architectural monuments creation is based among other things on the data of narrative sources - the information of the town chroniclers of the XIV - the beginning of the XV century.
