Abstract.
In the article an attempt to analyze the idea of truth as the leading legal value in the ideology of the Russian conservatism is made. The views of the main thinkers of the pre-revolutionary period, in particular, K. P. Pobedonostsev and E. N. Troubetzkoy, on the problem of the value reasoning of state-legal phenomena are considered. Within the research the conclusion about the ability of the concept of truth to become a new benchmark in national legal axiology is drawn. The problems of legal values in the political-legal doctrine of the Russian conservatism in national and world science have not been given proper attention, and that shows the undoubted topicality of the chosen theme. Despite renewed interest in the ideology of conservatism, its axiological potential has not received an adequate analysis and assessment yet, which opens up prospects for scientific research.
