Abstract. The article is devoted to the contemporary forms of interethnic relations in North Caucasia. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the activity of state and public institutions on promoting interethnic and inter-confessional dialogue and cooperation. The author considers the social, cultural and youth aspects of the implementation of the federal program of the North Caucasian Federal District national development; the issues of the region positive image formation in the media.
