Abstract.
The article considers the social structure of Saratov in the post-revolutionary period. Basing on the quantitative methods of research the author carries out the analysis of the materials of the population censuses of 1920 and 1923. The characteristic of the obtained results is given, the analysis is conducted, and their features are identified. The basic social groups in urban society are determined. The characteristic feature of the article is the analysis of the large quantity of statistical data that form the basis of all the statements and conclusions.
