STABILITY OF FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS AND PRESERVATION OF ETHNOCULTURAL SPECIFICITY OF INGUSH PEOPLE

Abstract. Basing on the data of a sociological survey conducted in the Republic of Ingushetia and Moscow in 2010, the article describes the family and marriage traditions of Ingush people, in particular, regulating relationships between husband and wife, parents and children, daughter-in-law and husband’s relatives, son-in-law and wife’s relatives, and transformations at the modern stage that have occurred. It also considers the degree and form of the involvement of Ingush people into family ties. Much attention is paid to the study of the ethnocultural identity of Ingush people.
