Abstract.
The article reveals the content of the notion “ethnic mentality” in three aspects of consideration: natural, social and existential. Ethnic mentality is closely associated with the spiritual sphere of society, but has its own peculiarities of development. The natural component of ethnic mentality is represented by the conditions of human existence and the specifics of his brain activity functioning. Existing on the verge of freedom and responsibility, ethnic mentality is the basis of the individual and the ethnic group as a whole.
