Abstract. The article examines the interaction of ethical and esthetic values in the philosophy and education of medieval culture and their representation in the educational programmes of different institutions. Analyzing the religious and secular types of cultures the author mentions the absolute priority of group values over personal ones, spiritual - over material. The researcher believes that the identified ethical and esthetic value dominants promoted the stable development of the whole axio-sphere of medieval culture.
