TRANSFORMATION OF POSTMODERNIST ART PRACTICES IN MODERN UKRAINIAN THEATER CULTURE

Abstract.
The article deals with such postmodernist art practices as performance, happening and environment in terms of the culturological context of Ukrainian theater scene. The peculiarities of postmodernist art practices functioning in theater culture by the example of the analysis of the performances “The Voice of the Earth”, “Three Joys”, “The Cube from ArtTus”, “The City Ch” are identified. It is concluded that the versatility of the use of performance, happening and environment will allow Ukrainian theater to reach a new level of radical creative transformations.
