ORGANIZATION OF ARCHIVE-KEEPING IN THE BASHKIR AUTONOMOUS SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLIC IN THE POSTWAR YEARS (1945-1956)

Abstract. The author analyzes one of the unexplored and complicated stages of the regional history of archive-keeping, the main directions of the activity of the Archive Department of the People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs (the Ministry of Internal Affairs) of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and the Central State Archive of the People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs (the Ministry of Internal Affairs) of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the methods of the organization of archive-keeping in the Republic in 1945-1956 in the context of the peculiarities of the socio-political development of the USSR in the post-war period. The article is based on the wide range of the archival sources of the Central Historical Archive of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
