Abstract. The article is devoted to watercolor portrait in the creativity of the architect Alexander Brullov. For the first time in the history of the study of the graphic heritage of the master attention is drawn to the issue of cooperation in his drawings of human figure and the architectural space, in which it is added. Analyzing the techniques of Brullov’s work on the portrait the researcher makes a number of analogies with the methodology of the work of the architect on the draft and identifies in the graphic manner of the draughtsman the individual characteristics, which are evidence of the influence of the architect profession on his artistic creativity.
