Abstract.
The article reveals the place and role of a woman in American theatrical pedagogy closely connected with Russian theatrical and pedagogical tradition. The author focuses her attention on the pedagogical activity of American women actively using the method by K. S. Stanislavsky in their work. The material presented in chronological sequence allows making the conclusion: a woman in the theatrical pedagogy of the USA plays significantly more active role than in Russian theatrical pedagogy.
