TARGET ORIENTATIONS IN THE SPHERE OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE PHILOSOPHY OF M. SCHELER AND E. FROMM

Abstract. The article offers the analysis of target orientations in the sphere of knowledge suggested by M. Scheler and E. Fromm. Target orientations in the sphere of knowledge are interpreted as fundamental goals of cognition process regulating the sense, purpose and character of knowledge value. The main target orientations in the sphere of knowledge presented by the principles “to be” and “to have” are examined. Their impact on the organization and implementation of cognitive process is considered.
