Abstract. The article examines the problem of the influence of information technologies on strong and weak youth’s social relations, giving social assistance both in the real world through live communication and on-line using information technologies. The relevance of the research is justified by the findings indicating the cybernization of communication and social support. The author argues for the theory of “power” of weak relations.
