WELFARE STATE IN SOUTH KOREA

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the examination of the peculiarities of the realized in South Korea model of social state. It is defined as a European, Bismarck model with the significant element of the influence of the traditional institute of family as the basic channel of the redistribution of income between the members of the society. The conclusion is made that this model isn’t typical of the East Asia state and hasn’t been studied before. The author considers the constitutional-normative foundations for the qualification of the Republic of Korea as a welfare state. Some statements of various versions of the Constitution on the definition of social state in relation with the interpretation of the constitutional principle of the state sociality formulated in the resolution of the Constitutional Court of South Korea are analyzed.
