THE BRICs AND RUSSIA: DEMOGRAPHIC ASPECT OF STRENGTHENING THE ASSOCIATION

Abstract.
The article examines the problem of demographic situation in the countries of the BRICs; separate attention is focused on the Russian Federation. The issue of the interdependence of economic and demographic factors is considered, in particular, it is emphasized that the started economic crisis will worsen the demographic one. The conclusion is made that demographic factor may become a uniting one for all the members of the BRICs, but nevertheless it is associated with some potential risks for Russia.
