Abstract.
In the presented work athletic activity and sports are analyzed in the context of a social institute connected with the existence of human values. Thus this activity is not only directed at the development of the culture of motions, but also at the spiritual health of people, it is connected with the process of the improvement of the sensual-emotional sphere of a man; it is sought as a tool in all the other forms of social activity as its aim is to support the functioning of the spheres of public production by means of the full-subject inclusion of a man in them, the formation of his/her spiritual aspiration for active positioning in any status.
