OMSK MILITARY AVIATION SCHOOL IN THE YEARS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Abstract. The article is devoted to the activity of Omsk Military Aviation School - the air force educational institution that implemented aviation staff training in Siberia. The author covers the issues of the educational process organization, providing the school with aviation equipment, staffing with permanent and temporary personnel. The paper identifies the specifics of aviation staff training under war time conditions. Relying on the analysis of archival documents the author concludes that the difficulties of the initial period of the war influenced the quality of the graduates’ training, it decreased considerably. The situation improved only during the crucial turning point of the war.
