Abstract.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the value prerequisites of various sociological approaches to the interpretation of conflict between culture and counterculture and to the analysis of the phenomena of conformism / non-conformism as universal sociocultural models. The problem of the demarcation of culture (mass culture) and counterculture is studied as well. The author identifies the specificity of the analysis of the phenomena “conformism / non-conformism” in the field of sociocultural existence and some peculiarities of approaches to the socio-cultural organization of the post-industrial society in the context of the conformal and non-conformal types of social behavior.
