FREEDOM AS A VALUE BASIS OF THE FAMILY

Abstract.
The article deals with freedom as one of the greatest values of the humanity and the family foundation. Arguing against the absolutization of family values as opposed to personal freedom the author focuses on the fact that the family does not exclude individual freedom, though presupposes a slightly different placing of priorities and new responsibilities, but opens up additional opportunities for its implementation. In the paper the issue of the freedom of children, which becomes particularly relevant in the conditions of the spiral of children’s violence in the family, is raised.
