Abstract.
The article attempts to reveal the mechanism of the gender self-determination of an individual in the conditions of the domination of both the patriarchal picture of the world and the transformation of contemporary culture. Socio-cultural, socio-economic and socio-political processes occurring in the society act as determinant factors of the system of the values of a contemporary man that significantly affects the process and result of gender self-determination.
