COSMIC LIGHT SYMBOLS IN ANDREI BELY’S PHILOSOPHY

Abstract.
The article examines a metaphysical aspect of the poet and thinker Andrei Bely’s spiritual worldview, his attitude to the problem of ethical overcoming all negative in our life. For that purpose he develops and philosophically justifies the theosophy of colours testing it in his own creative work and activity as a leading theoretician of symbolism in Russia. His methodology was synthetic integrating Christian gnosis and western rationalism, esthetic perception and psychological influence on potential interlocutors’ consciousness.
