Abstract.
In the article philosophical doctrines about death by P. A. Florensky and N. F. Fyodorov are analyzed. The relevance of the paper is determined by the insufficient development of this problem in modern national literature. The attitude of P. A. Florensky to the teaching and personality of N. F. Fyodorov is shown. The author reveals the character of each of the presented doctrines, and describes the image of death. The opinions of the thinkers about the nature of the fear of death and the possibility of its removing are given. The researcher finds the points of coincidence and divergence in the views of the philosophers on the mechanism of resurrection and comes to the conclusion about similarities and differences in the thinkers’ opinions on the value and causes of death.
