Abstract. The article reveals the role of comparative philosophy of education as an integrative sphere of knowledge that allows carrying out a comparative research of the philosophical foundations of education in a holistic manner with the involvement of the methodological techniques of philosophical comparative studies. The author’s attention is focused on the intercultural dialogue - a specific form of interaction between different tendencies, schools and conceptions on setting and resolving philosophical problems of education.
