HISTORICAL ASPECTS OF SHAMANISM

Abstract.
The article examines historical aspects of the formation and developing of the phenomenon of Shamanism. The author highlights the following forms of Shamanism: primeval, family, ancestral, individual and Neoshamanism. The figures of a shaman and pagan priest naturally change each other in the historical development of religious forms. In neurophysiology the phenomenon of Shamanism is associated with the dominant activity of the right hemisphere of the brain.
