INTERPRETING THE ORIGINAL SIN DOCTRINE IN R. BULTMANN’S CREATIVE WORK

Abstract.
The article analyzes the interpretation of Christian original sin doctrine by R. Bultmann. R. Bultmann deduces this all-Christian doctrine from the individual’s personal experience rejecting the Protestant anthropological approach focused on “natural” understanding. Sin for him is an ontological state of human physical existence. Original sin is a human aspiration to become valuable in God’s eyes by his own means. At the same time the essence of original sin remains incomprehensible for R. Bultmann.
