Abstract.
The article deals with the problem of interrelation of discourse, social myth and narrative in modern culture. The analysis of the morphology of discourse is carried out. Its main structures and elements as well as socio-communicative functions that this phenomenon performs are identified. The author concludes that discourse is a significant element of modern culture reflecting the formation of a new type of identity. The paper will be interesting both to professionals in the field of culturology and to a wide range of readers.
