KOMSOMOL’S ROLE IN SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF CHILDREN’S HOMELESSNESS AND NEGLECT IN STAVROPOL REGION IN THE YEARS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Abstract. The article summarizes Stavropol Komsomol’s contribution to struggle against children’s homelessness and neglect in the years of the Great Patriotic War. On the basis of archival materials the author describes organizational and preventive measures that were taken by Komsomol members. Special attention is paid to a fund for children support, which was established under the Territorial Young Communist League Committee. The paper emphasizes that Komsomol struggle against children’s homelessness and neglect was conducted on a daily basis.
