Abstract.
The article considers the role of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League in youth education in the USSR during the 1980s. The author reveals the leading role of the Communist Party in the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League activity on education of the rising generation. Influence of the Komsomol through educational work on all the spheres of youth’s life activity taking into account the peculiarities of its various groups is shown. Those shortcomings in activity of the Komsomol organizations are revealed that influenced efficiency and quality of the Komsomol work on youth education in the period under study.
