Abstract.
The article deals with playing a musical instrument as a phenomenon that allows designing special reality of the music world returning listeners to the roots of their own existence. Besides, the musical instrument includes wide cultural, ethnological and anthropological contexts, as the ways of its manufacture, manner of playing and performance characterize not only the performer and the listener, but the whole ethnic group. These contexts are especially important in the process of reconstruction of ancient traditional folk instruments.
