“THE TOPICS” BY ARISTOTLE: TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Abstract.
By the example of Aristotle’s “The Topics” the article considers such concepts as “tradition” and “innovation” with the aim to study innovative capabilities of the dialogue as a universal form of dialectical debate. Focusing on the concepts “innovation”, “dialogue”, “dialectics”, “topos” the author substantiates the idea of importance of existence of the ethical framework of the dialogue and concludes that dialectical discussion in its Aristotelian form has not lost its topicality as a normative basis for communication of the modern information society.
