TEACHER AS A PROFESSION FOR THE FUTURE: ESSENCE, PROBLEMS, PROSPECTS

Abstract.
The article reveals essence of the teaching profession for the future, identifies problems that need to be solved to define the teacher’s status in the perspective of reforming the education system development and determines prospects of the teaching profession for preparing a person for life in the future under the conditions of the technological component and value orientations transformation. Special attention is paid to examination of issues that affect understanding of the teacher’s mission in the future.
