PROBLEM OF CONSERVATION OF BIYSK ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE IN MODERN HISTORICAL CONDITIONS

Abstract.
The article makes an attempt to consider comprehensively the problem of the current state and future development of the historic town. Particular attention is paid to preservation of Biysk architectural heritage, which has remained its cultural core for three centuries. The most important task at the moment is a choice of a new vector and strategy for Biysk development on the basis of unique facts, objects of architecture and places of interest in the town through working out a stable interest in the society, continuity of traditions and preservation of historical memory.
