Abstract.
In the article the peculiarities of technique, composition, motifs of Zlatoust steel engraving at various stages of its development are revealed. The authors trace interrelation between the history of the country and the changing themes of engraving. The characteristic features of modern masters-engravers working at different art workshops are singled out. For the first time attention is drawn to significance of Zlatoust engraving for development of cluster tourism in Chelyabinsk oblast, which is a topical issue for the region.
