Abstract.
In the article the fragments of the author’s electronic correspondence with L. G. Protasov and V. V. Kanishchev on a number of methodological issues at the final stage of the preparation of the collection of documents «“Antonovshchina”. Peasant Rebellion in Tambov Region in 1920-1921» (edition of 2007) are cited. The presented discussion is relevant today as well, and it touches upon the problems of understanding synergism of the factors of the Civil War in Russia, the historic place and character of “Antonovshchina” as a part of it, issues of defining social banditry and the rest of the scientific terminology, and the corresponding structure of the collection and its scientific apparatus.
