Abstract.
To suppress rebels Communist power sought support of local population. The article analyzes the social origin of the Red Army soldiers, who struggled with rebels, examines their postwar destiny. The author considers peculiarities of combat against rebellious peasants, motives for bitterness that the Red Army soldiers manifested in this confrontation.
