Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of the Motherland, which constitutes the spiritual basis and the main factor of the consolidation of society. The authors carry out a comparative analysis of this phenomenon with such factors of integration in a globalizing society as money and information, determining that the feeling of the Motherland has a deep ontological rooting, which is the reason for its integrative force. The feeling of the Motherland is born at the very beginning of the formation of the personality, accumulating in itself childhood memories, the factors of culture of the people, united by the community of territory and historical destiny, and becomes an important motivating force that determines the nature of social activity throughout the life of a person.
