THE INTERNAL POLICY OF THE CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT OF MARGARET THATCHER (1983-1987)

Abstract.
The article examines the main directions of the internal policy of the Second Thatcher ministry (1983-1987). The state initiatives on the program of privatization of public sector objects, on tax policy regulation, business support, and sale of shares to the population of the country are analyzed. The results of the work of the Second Thatcher ministry, which were conditioned by objective tendencies of social development of the country, are shown. The author notes that the implementation of government measures revealed the problems that subsequently led to a crisis of Conservative policy.
