STUDY OF ARCHITECTURE MONUMENTS OF BIYSK AT THE END OF THE XIX - THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY ON THE BASIS OF THE ART CRITICISM AND CATEGORIAL ANALYSIS

Abstract. In the article on the basis of art criticism and categorial analysis the architectural heritage of Biysk is studied. The state of historical architecture in the provincial city, studied by scientists earlier, is a clear confirmation of the global problem of the modern state. The disappearing complete built-up environment of the historical centre of the city testifies to the lack of policy of preserving the cultural and historical heritage. The classification of architectural monuments is divided into three categories: lost ones, the ones that lost artistic value and the ones requiring restoration work.
