Abstract.
The article deals with the history of the creation of the famous ballet “Don Quixote”, which is included in the classical repertoire of the theaters of Russia and abroad. In addition, the question of author’s belonging of the music of modern performances of Don Quixote, namely the edition that is on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, is considered for the first time. The comparative characteristics of the claviers of the XIX and XX centuries are given, and earlier unknown facts about author’s belonging of individual items are revealed.
