Abstract.
The article deals with a language and speech as instruments of power, allowing concentrating and transferring resources of domination from generation to generation. The author focuses on the instrumental interpretation of power based on the analysis of discursive practices that function in the mode of struggle for classification. It is emphasized that mutual determination is found between a person and a language, that is, the personality has power over the language, but the language in its turn dominates the personality.
