Abstract.
The essay summarizes the examination of the Russian musical art of the early 20th century. The work investigates the evolutionary trajectory of the musical-artistic process during this time, focusing on the wave-like character of its development. The author argues that each decade, starting from the 1890s, possesses a unique character, undergoing phases of ascent and decline. Special attention is paid to the 1910s, which are considered a crucial stage in the emergence of the Modern, characterized by dynamism, an energetic boom, impulsiveness, and expansionism. The author confirms that this decade was a pivotal period in the formation of the Modern, not only in art but also in such areas as morality, history, and social life. It was during this time that fundamental ideas and principles were laid, shaping the further development of Europe and the world right up to the present day.
