Abstract.
The article examines new pedagogical phenomenon “Children’s university” which is popular among the European educationnalists and learners. This educational project is considered in the context of studying educational guidelines of the European countries, in particular, civil education. On the basis of their own experience of organizing the educational project “Children’s university” the authors describe the various forms of developing junior schoolchildren’s civic consciousness in the system of additional education and analyze the existing educational approaches while coordinating children’s educational projects in Europe.
