Digital technologies in teaching Chinese in schools: from classroom lesson to a networked educational event

Abstract.
The aim of the study is to identify and characterize key trends and contradictions in the evolution of methods for teaching Chinese in the context of the integration of digital technologies and the change in forms of organizing the educational process from a traditional classroom lesson to a networked educational event. The article presents the results of an analysis of scientific literature and surveys of teachers and students (March-April 2025), processed using content analysis. The study is novel in that it substantiates the transformation process of the didactic structure of a Chinese language lesson in school under the influence of digital technologies. This represents a paradigm shift: from the traditional acquisition of knowledge to joint “experience” and communication in the format of a networked educational event. In the author’s interpretation, a networked educational event is viewed not as a technical format, but as a new didactic unit, generating unpredictable, personally significant communication and overcoming geographical and communicative barriers. The study revealed a contradiction between the high didactic potential of digital technologies and systemic obstacles to their integration into the practice of teaching Chinese in the Russian education system. It is emphasized that digitalization makes it possible to go beyond classroom lessons, transforming the educational process in the direction of collaborative activities and the creation of unique educational situations. The key result is the position that the effective integration of digital technologies into the teaching of Chinese requires a transition from local pedagogical practices to a systemic transformation of the educational process, involving changes in content, methods, teacher training, and material and technical support.
