Abstract.
The article aims to provide a theoretical substantiation of the criteria, indicators, and levels of aesthetic value formation in future educators. The problem of forming aesthetic values within the professional training system is examined in the context of contemporary socio-cultural and educational challenges. Based on an analysis of philosophical, psychological-pedagogical, and aesthetic literature, the content of the concept “aesthetic values of a future educator” is clarified, and its role in the professional development of a teacher’s personality is revealed. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the development and substantiation of a holistic system of criteria for the formation of aesthetic values in prospective teachers (motivational-value, emotional, cognitive, and activity-reflective), as well as in the substantive characterization of the indicators for each criterion, taking into account the specifics of pedagogical activity. As a result of the study, the levels of aesthetic value formation in future educators (high, medium, and low) are identified and described, enabling the diagnostics of students’ corresponding values.
