Abstract.
The article is devoted to the consideration of the problem of proper names and their role in the semantic organization of text. The cases of functioning of proper names are analyzed. On the basis of this analysis the formulas expressing the semantic saturation of proper names are presented, and the author comes to the conclusion about their conscious use in the given text for the description of the character and (or) the appearance of a personage.
