Abstract. In the language of the Sufi literature of the XIXth century Arabian-Persian conjunctions are used, basically, with stylistic purposes that allow the poets to avoid the numerous repetitions of one and the same form. Conjunctions in Sufi literature are used not only in the meanings and functions characteristic for the Arabian and Persian languages, they also pass to other parts of speech, i.e. the phenomenon of conversion is observed.
