Abstract. In the article some innovation methods of teaching professional foreign language applied in the educational process with four-year students of Institute of Geology, Oil and Gas are considered. These methods have obvious advantages including the following: increasing students' motivation to learn a foreign language, orientation at real practical result important for each project member, broadening the educational mental outlook and also the formation of professional communication skills.
